Legislative Days 2016

Maurice Bushroe, our team leader and our “Pool Prophet” was in Tallahassee this past week for Legislative Days on behalf of The Florida Swimming Pool Association. All the volunteers dressed in blue met with multiple legislators including Representative Fred Costello from District 25. Maurice was honored to support the important pool industry issues at our state capital.

Hello all - it's Maurice Bushroe and I'm in Tallahassee attending the Legislative Days meetings with the State House of Representatives and State Senate of Florida.

There are SO many changes coming regarding both commercial and residential pools - many of them related to electrical issues.  One would require a building permit to replace a residential pool pump motor - a measure which would more than DOUBLE the cost of replacing your motor - and increase the installation time from a day or so to an average of TWO WEEKS!

Imagine what your pool would look like after two weeks of waiting for a new motor!

FSPA East Central Chapter Announces New Board Members

ORMOND BEACH, Fl - Friday, January 15, 2016 – The East Coast Central Chapter of the Florida Swimming Pool Association has announced the new 2016 board members: Coby Moore, CM Custom Pool Designs, Inc. located in Ormond Beach as President, Adam Beaty, Pool Captain Corp. located in Palm Coast as Vice-President,
Maurice Bushroe, Blue Ribbon Pool Care, LLC located in Daytona Beach as Secretary & Treasurer, Larry Drumb, Cool Pools by Larry located in DeLand as a Member at Large and Bryant Ewing, HornerXpress located in Ormond Beach as a Member at Large.

The chapter meets monthly for all members and guests on the second Tuesday of each month.
